Lip-Service. It is all that it is, Lip-Service. Now that I am making progress in organizing groups at worksites, I have been pulled off of this duty. I am now the on that will handle all grievances/investigations in our division until October 15, 2005. I no longer am an organizer but simply a field rep and even then, it seems to be that I am a babysitter now. Let me tell, County Employees can sure bitch about absolutely nothing. It amazes me, if their lot in life is so bad, leave, get a real job and then bitch about what you don't have!

I have visited several sites as of late I am appalled at the disrespect, out-right mistreatment, and hostile work environments. It amazes me that people really act in this manner.

Smeagle, get a real job . . . I forget - no one in the real world would hire you. How about I lend you a cliff and you use your car and drive off of it? You would save the citizens of this county a whole lot of money. You owe them that much since you do nothing.

Yankees are now 3 games back. Yawn. I imagine the rest of the baseball world is worried about their respective teams.

If those idiots in San Francisco don't want the U.S.S. Iowa, then bring her to Los Angeles.

Hidden Frontier premiered Beachhead but unless you receive the newsletter, you won't get to see it for another two weeks. No opinion other than it was a bit of a let down, but hey, two episodes to go!

My time as an organizer will be coming to an end on October 15 of this year. I have been doing this for three months now  and I will do it for another two and a half months. Life goes on.

Are the Yankees in first place? Let me check . . . 3 1/2 back of Boston. Ho hum.

Look People: Star Trek is not dead, it is simply not moving right now, literally. Paramount will bring back Star Trek if the fans make them want to bring it back. There is no such thing as Franchise Fatigue other than those running the franchise are lifeless, no longer have fresh ideas, and are fatigued.

Once Paramount brings back Star Trek, will we have one more romp on the big screen - Paramount would do well not to re-imagine the franchise though. That, would be a serious, serious mistake. We have what we have and changing it just to give it a new look and re-write all that came before just nullifies the Franchise itself. Real fans like the history, and slapping us in this manner is just mean, and frankly stupid. Paramount has done this before and look what happened - the ratings fell and fell and fell.

Star Trek was always about hope and of better days ahead. Take us to those days, and give us a great ride and Paramount will have takers at the ticket window. I am willing to wait . . . I have no other choice. The one thing I ask is for Paramount not to re-imagine the franchise.
